Section E-16 Chief: 

Troy Serao

Troy Serao is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member from Troop 1701 in Latham NY. He is also a member of Crew 100 and a founder of Ship 1415. He has formally served as Kittan Lodge Vice Chief of Program and two terms as Conclave Vice Chief. He has also worked at Rotary scout reservation for the past three years at COPE and Climbing. 


Outside of scouts Troy enjoys politics and has worked on a total of 11 campaigns in various roles. Troy also works at Colonie Town hall as a clerical aide to the Town Board and Town Clerk. On top of that Troy loves rock climbing and helps lead the climbing program at his school. He looks forward to working with the other officers and lodge leadership teams to keep section E16 great. 

Section E-16 Vice Chief: 

Max Szczesny

Max Szczesny is an Eagle Scout from Troop 4045 of Clifton Park, NY. He is also a member of Venturing Crew 6046 of Saratoga Springs, NY. Max has completed the NLS and NYLT. He has also staffed NYLT for the past two years, as a Troop Guide.


Max is a Vigil Honor member from Kittan Lodge 364. He is a former Kittan Lodge Secretary, a former Naxa Nimat Chapter Chief, a former Naxa Nimat Chapter Vice Chief, and former Naxa Nimat Chapter Secretary. In addition to being your E-16 Section Vice Chief, he is also currently serving as the Kittan Lodge Vice Chief of Administration. Max is looking forward to working with Troy and Brendan, as well as the rest of the Council of Chiefs. He is also looking forward to meeting Arrowmen from across the section and making this year a success!

Brendan Lockmer

Brendan Lockmer is a Life Scout from Troop 2113 in Kinderhook, NY. He is also a member of the venturing Crew 2113 in the same area. He is a Brotherhood member of the Taghkanic Chapter of Kittan Lodge. He has served in the position of Chapter Vice Chief in the past and currently serves as a Chapter Chief and Lodge Treasurer as well as serving in several other positions within his home troop.

Brendan plays the French Horn in his schools band as well as playing in his schools marching band. Brendan attended both NLS and NYLT and has staffed NYLT for the past two years serving as a troop guide and the ASPL of troop guides. He is very excited to work with all of our arrowmen from across the section to have a great year!
